Y después del Salón Mi Boda…/ After the Wedding Fair...

Bueno ya sabéis que este blog va principalmente de cosméticos y de la piel pero también os comentamos otras cosillas como viajes, antojitos culinarios y ahora consejos bodiles! La verdad estoy sorprendida de que tanta gente haya leído el post Salón MI BODA Barcelona 2012, así que al parecer somos muchas las que estamos en la misma misión, organizar nuestra boda! Bueno para las que visitaron el salón creo que estarán de acuerdo conmigo en que no fue lo que imaginaba, siempre había sido en la Fira de Montjuic en plan super mega evento y esta vez se ha notado la crisis fue pequeñito en la cúpula del Arenas y la lista de empresas que asistieron también fue reducida, aunque personalmente saqué información útil.

As you know this blog is about cosmetics and skin care products but we also sometimes share our travelling experiences, good food and from now wedding advice! To be honest I was surprised that many people have read the post about Salón mi boda Bcn 2012 (Bcn Wedding Fair 2012), so that means that there are many out there with the same mission right now, wedding planning! For the ones that visited you will agree with me that it was not like in previous years, the crisis is noticed in everything, this time was not in Montjuic Fira but in the dome of the Arenas shopping mall.

¿Cómo va el finde? Espero que muy bien! Este mes he elegido el regalito que trae la revista Woman, que es éste bolso de PVC, diseño de Armand Basi. Está disponible en tres colores: rojo, azul (que a mí me pareció más morado) y el fucsia que es el que finalmente yo elegí. El precio es de 4,95€.

Lugares favoritos... /My favourite places… (I)

Hola ¿cómo estáis? :)

Una de las cosas que he descubierto leyendo blogs, es la cantidad de lugares maravillosos alrededor del mundo que se escapan de las guías turísticas. Restaurantes, cafés, pastelerías, tiendas artesanales y un largo etcétera de sitios que quizá no hubiese podido conocer de no ser porque leí en algún comentario que valía la pena.

Me encanta cuando los autores y lectores de estos blogs escriben sobre ello. Sin duda ha sido una herramienta muy útil en mis viajes desde hace algún tiempo.

A raíz de esto, me pareció buena idea mostraros algunos de mis sitios favoritos, seguramente la mayoría están en Barcelona que es donde vivo. Así que espero que os gusten y que sean de ayuda.

One thing that I discovered reading blogs is the amount of wonderful places around the world that escape from the guidebooks. Restaurants, coffees, pastry shops, craft stores and a long list of sites that I have known thanks to I had read a comment.

I love when authors and readers of these blogs write about it. It has certainly been a very useful tool on my trips.

For this reason, I thought that it would be good idea to show you some of my favorite places; probably most are in Barcelona, where I live. So I hope you enjoy and you find it helpful.

Parece que finalmente se instala el buen tiempo! La verdad es que no me gusta el calor, pero confieso que sin ver el sol no podría estar y es lo que más me gusta de Barcelona, ese cielo azul y sol radiante.

It seems that we finally have good weather! To be honest I don’t like the heat, but I must confess that the sun makes me happy. That's one of the best things of Barcelona, the blue sky and bright sun :)

Ya sabéis que me encantan las mascarillas asiáticas, os hablé de ellas hace ya algún tiempo aquí y aquí, las de algodón que vienen en formato “sobre” son bastante cómodas de aplicar y la mayoría de ellas bastante efectivas. Sin embargo, Marilú también me trajo de Japón una mascarilla de arroz, de la marca Skin Food que además es uno de los productos más conocidos de la marca.

As you know I really love Asian masks, I told you about them some time ago here and here. These cotton mask comes in a “sheet” format; they are easy to apply and most of them quite effective. However, Marilú also brought me the Skin Food rice mask from Japan, this mask is one of its most popular products.

Y Feliz Sant Jordi! ¿Cómo estáis? Lo primero, es que os debemos una enorme disculpa por la ausencia de estos últimos meses, hemos vivido algunos cambios importantes, para empezar ambas hemos estado de mudanza (bueno Marilú aún está en ello) se me había olvidado lo aparatosas que son las mudanzas! No ha sido fácil encontrar ese “lugar” que luego será tu “hogar”, y que cuando por fin encuentras, aparece una gran lista de requisitos que debes cumplir! aquí entre nosotr@s, no se sorprendan si les preguntan por vuestro código de ADN ¡arrrg!

How are you? First of all, we owe you all a huge apology for the absence these last months; we have had some important changes in our lives. I moved into my new house although Marilu still on it, the truth is moving has been stressful. It wasn’t easy to find that "place" which will then be your "home", and when I finally find it, appears a big list of requirements to complete. “Complaint mode ON" seriously, do not be surprised if they ask about your DNA code ¡arrrggg!

Compras en el Reino Unido / UK haul

Hola! :)

Ya ha pasado casi un mes desde que volví de UK, así que quería mostraros las cositas que compré allí, no han sido tantas porque la verdad aproveché más para ropa, también porque teníamos la agenda de viaje ajustada (apenas pude pasarme por la tiendas de maquillaje) y porque en las maletas ya no me cabía ni un alfiler jajaja.

It's been almost a month since I returned from UK, so today I want to show you the stuff I bought there. I did not buy a lot of makeup and skin care products, because the truth I took advantage to buy clothes, also we had a very tight travel agenda (I barely had time to go makeup stores) and also in my luggage was no space for anything else lol.

Marie Claire Magazine- Spain Feb. 2013

Me ha gustado mucho el bolsito de mano (o pochette) que viene con la edición de febrero de la revista Marie Claire (€3,95)  a elegir entre 3 modelos: nude, estampado pitón, y bicolor. Yo elegí el bicolor, que es burdeos con negro, el bolsito tiene un tamaño práctico, cabe lo necesario y es ligero!

I really liked the handbag (or pochette) that comes with the February edition of Marie Claire magazine (€3.95) you can choose from 3 models: nude, python print, and bicolour. I chose the bicolour, which is burgundy with black.

Hoy tengo una entrada un poco diferente, no es de un producto que he probado, pero sí que quería comentar; porque así como cuido de mi piel, también estoy pendiente de la de mi madre, de la de mi hermana y hasta de la de mi padre; a quien me cuesta convencer de usar algo, pero al menos la protección solar diaria he conseguido que use.

Y después de Navidad volvemos a la normalidad así que para comenzar el año les quiero hablar sobre el Aloe Vera, la mejor planta para nuestra piel en cualquier época del año.

Como os conté hace un tiempo a finales de Noviembre estuve una semanita de vacaciones por las Canarias!!! Estábamos desesperados por unos rayitos de sol y calorcito y qué mejor destino que ese! Fue allí donde encontré Aloe Vera.

After Christmas everything goes back to normal so I to start this year I would like to talk about Aloe Vera, the best plant for our skin any time of the year.

 

As I told you time ago at the end of November I spent a week holydays in the Canary Islands!!! We were desperate for a little sunshine and warm weather and that was an excellent destination! It was there where I found Aloe Vera.

Siii algo tarde lo de Feliz Año pero, mejor tarde que nunca!

Espero que hayáis tenido unas maravillosas navidades, por mi parte he pasado nochebuena en Barcelona con Marilú y luego he viajado a Inglaterra para nochevieja hasta el día de reyes, quería conocer Londres y aprovechando que tengo familia allí, conocimos algunas ciudades más, un viaje muy bonito para el recuerdo, ya que toda la familia viajó hasta allí para compartir estas fechas especiales.

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. I've spent Christmas Eve in Barcelona with Marilú and her family. Then I went to England for New Year's Eve until last Sunday. I always wished to visit London so, taking advantage that I have family there, we visited some other cities. It was a very nice trip, the whole family travelled up there to share these special dates.
